Makenzie after showing in Shepherds Lead
Getting ready for Shepherds Lead right after the sheep show. She was so hot because at this point it was about noon and 100 degrees outside. The dress is made of 100% wool so we had to find an air conditioned place to change.
So The biggest news of the whole fair is the results of the sheep show. Makenzie got Reserve GRAND Champion for her Market Lamb! Talk about exciting this is her first year!! IT took me four years of showing to get Reserve Champion! This picture is the judge after selecting her as Reserve Grand Champion. Makenzie also had the Reserve champion Ewe and she was Champion Novice Showman.
Makenzie the first night of the fair getting her lambs weighed in
This was Makenzie's window display she did for the buymanship project. She was so excited she received a purple ribbon. It was even more exciting when the judge brought over the other judges to look at it!
Makenzie's first purple ribbon! She received it on her pottery piece that she painted at a Pottery Studio over on Central and Tyler.
